Watchlist notice for upcoming Temporary Accounts deployment

Hello, I want to request a watchlist notice for upcoming Temporary Accounts deployment on 12 November 2025. When temp accounts were deployed to en-wiki last week, multiple users thought the temp accounts were sockpuppets. So, I think a watchlist notice will be helpful and will reduce confusion as I believe currently not all users are aware of this major change to the site.

I noticed English Wikipedia has a watchlist notice when temp accounts deployed there last week, so we can just use the same one, like this:

• Edits by logged out users will no longer display an IP address. Instead a temporary account such as ~2025-11111-11 will be created automatically upon making an edit.

I'm not sure if a WMF staff will make a request here also, but last week in en-wiki, it appears they did it only couple hours before deployment. So, I would like to make a request here early, so there will be more time to prepare. Thanks. Tvpuppy (talk) 13:33, 10 November 2025 (UTC)

Thank you, Lucas! I must admit, I didn't know that there's an option for an interactive, enwiki-like watchlist notice on Commons.

I'd be grateful if you set this up, and please consider highlighting the background. Even though not everybody was happy about it, I believe making the notice even more "in your face" must have helped. After all, such solutions are used massively rarely, so it's difficult to be worried about banner blindness.

Hello! Adding cs translation, if I may?

| cs = Editace provedené nepřihlášenými uživateli už nepoužívají IP adresu jako identifikátor. Namísto toho je jim automaticky vytvořen dočasný účet ve formátu ~2025-11111-11.
